Dance: Bus Stop Song: Bus Stop; Things Can Only Get Better Artist: Casper; D-Ream Album: Cha Cha Slide Choreography & copyright: unknown Level: Novice Walls: 4 Count: 16 Bridge/restart: no Dance Beat: 100 b/m Start: Feet together, weight on left foot This has to be about the easiest (and oldest) line dances about. There are many variations to the dance, below I am only giving two. Virtually anyone can pick this dance up and with only the bare minimum of instruction. * Vine to the right & touch: 1 Step RIGHT foot to the RIGHT side, 2 Step LEFT foot beside RIGHT, 3 Step RIGHT foot to the RIGHT side, 4 Touch LEFT foot next to RIGHT, * Vine to the left & touch: 5 Step LEFT foot to the LEFT side, 6 Step RIGHT foot beside LEFT, 7 Step LEFT foot to the LEFT side, 8 Touch RIGHT foot next to LEFT, * Vine to the right & touch: 9 Step RIGHT foot to the RIGHT side, 10 Step LEFT foot beside RIGHT, 11 Step RIGHT foot to the RIGHT side, 12 Touch LEFT foot next to RIGHT, Option: During counts 9-11 make a full turn RIGHT * Vine to the left with 1/4 turn left & touch: 13 Step LEFT foot to the LEFT side, 14 Step RIGHT foot beside LEFT, 15 Step LEFT foot to the LEFT side & make 1/4 turn to face the LEFT, 16 Touch RIGHT foot next to LEFT. Then repeat the dance, starting at the next wall. And contine to repeat the above 16 steps until the music ends. You've now done a line dance - a dance containing a repeated sequence of steps and where the dancers are in a line (or lines). The above is prolly the simplist version of the Bus Stop. The dance was never choreographed as such, but rather evolved on the (disco) dancefloor back in the 1970's - thus there are many different versions of it. For a bit more challenge, you can replace the last 8 counts of the above version with: * Heel, touch, 1/4 turn, touch: 9 Touch RIGHT heel forward, 10 Touch RIGHT toe back, 11 Step RIGHT foot forward & make a 1/4 turn to face the RIGHT, 12 Touch LEFT toe to LEFT side, * Cross, point, cross & life, rock back: 13 Cross LEFT foot in front of RIGHT & change weight onto LEFT, 14 Touch RIGHT toe to RIGHT side, 15 Cross RIGHT foot in front of LEFT & lift LEFT foot up behind RIGHT & bend knees, 16 Step back on LEFT foot. Yes, I know this version rotates clockwise with each successive wall whilst the previous one rotates counter-clockwise, but as I said, it's not a choreographed dance. You'll not get it at a linedance class or social (unless it's a comedy item), rather it's usually done at weddings (where the DJ will say how it's done) or at a "free style" dance floor - where everyone does their own thing anyway.
